How FLEXline Works
Unlike a traditional personal loan that provides your funds all at once, FLEXline is a revolving personal line of credit. Borrow only what you need, when you need it and pay interest only on the amount you use. As you repay what you’ve borrowed, that amount becomes available to use again in the future.
Plus, there’s no need to reapply every time something new makes the list.
FAQs
Unlike an installment loan, where a set amount of funds is disbursed to you at once and you pay it back with regular, fixed payments, you can borrow as little or as much of the limit as you choose. Your monthly payment is 2.70% of outstanding balance or $108.00, whichever is greater.
It comes down to how you want to access your money. A traditional personal loan provides a set amount upfront that you repay over a set term. FLEXline lets you decide how much of your approved limit to use and when to use it. That can make FLEXline a good fit when you aren’t sure exactly how much you’ll need or when you’ll need it, and can help keep your budget in check.
FLEXline offers a unique advantage over most credit cards: Everyone approved for a FLEXline gets the same fixed APR. There’s no “as low as” rate reserved for only certain borrowers and your rate won’t change when market rates do. Many credit cards have higher, variable APRs that can change over time. If you need to carry a balance, FLEXline could be a more affordable, predictable form of borrowing.
Eligibility is based on several factors, including your credit score, credit usage, payment history and ability to repay the loan. You must also either already be or be eligible to become a member of Ardent Credit Union.
Be prepared to supply personal information to confirm your identity as well as financial information such as gross monthly income and employment status on your application.
You can draw on your funds by advancing it to your Ardent checking account and either withdrawing cash at thousands of surcharge-free ATMs in our nationwide network, writing a check or by using your Ardent Visa® debit card.
